Numeracy Across the Curriculum

screenshot Numeracy Across the Curriculum courseThis course provides a guided process to integrating the explicit teaching of numeracy skills with curriculum content to meet the learning needs of all students across key learning areas. It will specifically address learning in the context of NSW K–10 syllabuses.

At the completion of this course, you will have:

  • developed an understanding of numeracy across the curriculum
  • identified areas of numeracy where students experience difficulty within your key learning area
  • mapped the learning required to assist students using a Numeracy skills framework
  • developed teaching and learning activities to address students’ numeracy needs within your key learning area.

Completing Numeracy Across the Curriculum online course will contribute 5 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 1.5.2, 3.1.2, 2.5.2 and 6.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
